Friends, Eldon is the hardest working, no excuses, never give up outfitter there is. He runs excellent success on his bear hunts which are accessible and affordable to most bowhunters no matter what yourskill level is. Eldon's moose hunts are the best value and the best hunting there is. Many people do not realize this but you will see at least five times more moose on your hunt for moose with Eldon, than you would on any other Canadian or Alaskan moose hunt of equal time length. Eldons level of woodsmanship and what he brings to a hunt will make you a better bowhunter.

A longbow enthusiast himself, Eldon Jandreau knows what it takes to get you close - stickbow close- to the king of the North Maine woods, the bull moose. I spent a week hunting with Eldon, calling, floating ponds and streams by canoe, and stalking the clearcuts. The number of moose Maine has to offer is phenomenal and Eldon’s skills as a caller and woodsman are second to none. Taking that Pope and Young bull was something I’ll never forget, but my hunt would have been an amazing experience even if I had not tagged one. Whether moose or bear, Eldon does his best to make your hunt successful and enjoyable.

As a traditional archery hunter himself, Eldon knows the special needs of the bowhunter and works tirelessly to give the best experience possible whether the quarry is bear or moose. I can’t recommend his service enough and would be happy to speak with anyone interested my weeks experiences in the North Maine Woods.

Many years ago, I had the pleasure of guiding Eldon Jandreau on a whitetail bowhunt in Montana. The first day of his hunt, I noticed he left for his treestand with only one arrow. I asked him where his quiver was. He said, "I have an arrow." I said, "Don't you ever miss?" He said, "Not yet! You still like me don't you?" That is Eldon Jandreau.
I have known and hunted with Eldon multiple times over the last twenty years. My Maine moose hunt with him is a very special memory. He is not only a skilled woodsman, superb shot and unequalled bowhunter, but a great guy to be around in the outdoors. His enthusiasm, forsight and sense of humor makes any hunt with him a real pleasure and memorable experience. I highly recommend spending time with him.
